Total Marakby Partnership
With 237 service stations nationwide, Total’s involvement in key markets is not limited to providing superior quality fuel and car servicing. Recent activities to bolster presence, coupled with major investments in sustainable energy, are statements in effect of a bigger cause.
As a strategic key market and 20-year host to Total’s aspiring line of service centres and fuel stations, Egypt plays a major role in Total’s long-term global strategy, which was recently revealed following the visit of their esteemed Marketing and Services experts; Stanislas Mittelman, Total Senior Vice President of the Africa Division, and Jerome Dechamps, Total Executive Vice President of the Mediterranean and Indian Ocean Division.
"Our strategy in Egypt is strongly intertwined with our global strategy, at the core of which is our commitment to meet the growing energy needs of the countries we operate in and provide our customers with clean, affordable, and sustainable energy, including oil and gas as well as electricity, solar and renewables.” Said Mittelman, signaling the core of Total’s direction.
To support these aspirations and root them in solid ground; Total signed a five-year contract with El Marakby Group, a leading Egyptian steel company, for the supply of cutting-edge lubricants to support its iron and steel industrial processes. Ian LePetit, Total Egypt’s Managing Director, dubbed this partnership a ‘natural alliance.’
In tow, Total is growing their business lines, with new service stations in buzzing locations, cutting-edge aviation supplies, along with Total’s fuels and lubricants that are constantly developed to supreme standard for both industrial and retail customers, newest of which is Total Quartz Auto Care Center in Lebanon Square, Mohandesseen, the 55th to be established nationwide.
Following these expansions, Total is now an established key player with strong presence in the industrial markets, from which vantage point a lot of positive changes can be implemented, all going to serve the incorporation of clean sustainable energy while providing high-end solutions for their businesses.
This integrated global strategy resolves the conflict between what is efficient and what is sustainable, and signals a new era of diversified energy industry in Egypt.
