At Total, we are the proud suppliers of more than 250 international airports in 75 countries worldwide.
Manufacturing specifications for aviation fuels are very stringent, fuel quality is checked by sampling and laboratory analysis at every stage between refinery and aircraft tank to ensure that the fuel conforms to the specification when it is delivered to the aircraft.
JET A-1, formerly known as "kerosene", is the principal fuel used for jet turbine engines. With a minimum flashpoint of 38°C and a maximum freezing point of -47°C, it is also used in general aviation for compatible diesel engine planes.
JET A-1 meets stringent international requirements, as well as the latest versions of the AFQRJOS, the British DEF STAN 91-91 standard, the ASTM D1655 standard, and the NATO F-35 specification.
